Faculty Camp 06: In Thy Light We See Light
Dates: Jun 17, 2006 - Jun 23, 2006
Theological Acuity and Academic Vocation
A Conference for University and College Faculty Sponsored by InterVarsity's Faculty Ministry
A more profound grasp of Christian truth will benefit university and college faculty by:
- Deepening our personal and spiritual lives
- Advancing Christian witness in the academic community
- Enriching our practice of vocation as academics under the Lordship of Christ to the glory of God
It comes as no surprise then that Christian faculty often express a desire to better understand Christian theology and its bearing on the academic life. Our program seeks to address this spiritual and intellectual hunger for instruction and discussion on these issues.
Our conference will offer unhurried time for relaxation and recreation in the beautiful setting of Cedar Campus on the shore of Lake Huron, conversation and community with faculty peers, intellectual stimulation, and social merriment. Indeed, we expect that this week will make for the very best sort of vacation! While our conference is not designed as a Family Camp, we welcome families to attend and offer outstanding programming for children.
Location
Cedar Campus is an InterVarsity Conference and Training Center, located in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, forty miles east of the Straits of Mackinac. For more information and travel options, visit the Cedar Campus web site.
