ESN Partnerships
We're grateful to God that the Emerging Scholars Network is itself
part of a network (however loose) of other organizations pursuing
complementary missions to nurture and challenge Christian academics.
We are an endeavor of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA
and reflect partnership first of all among InterVarsity's own
ministries among undergraduates, grad students, and faculty.
Here
is a directory of other organizations with whom we
have partnerships as well, some of which also provide direct benefits
for ESN members. (More conversations are under way, so
you can expect to see more listings here in the future.) |

- Christian Scholars Review
-
The Christian Scholars Review has as "its primary objective the integration of Christian faith and learning on both the intra- and inter- disciplinary levels. As a secondary purpose, this journal seeks to provide a forum for the discussion of the theoretical issues of Christian higher education. It is intended to encourage communication and understanding both among Christian scholars and between them and others." For the benefits the Christian Scholars Review offers to ESN members,

- Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU)

of Christ-centered higher education and to help our
institutions transform lives by faithfully relating scholarship
and service to biblical truth."
- Council of Christian
Scholarly Societies (CCSS)
-
The CCSS is an umbrella organization of discipline-specific
professional societies. As they put it, "Member organizations

not achieve as well.... Through CCSS, member organizations
provide practical support to each other and share the responsibility
to nurture new generations of Christian scholars."
- Eerdmans Publishing
-
"Founded in 1911 and still independently owned, Eerdmans
Publishing Company has long been known for publishing a
wide range of religious books, from academic works in theology,

titles in spirituality, social and cultural criticism,
and literature." For the benefits Eerdmans offers

people with one goal — to bring glory to God by establishing
a vibrant gospel witness among students in every nation."
- Inter-Varsity Canada's Graduate
Student and Faculty Ministry
-
We share a particularly close partnership (not least simply
because of geography) with our GSFM colleagues in Canada,
who seek "to nurture the many existing groups of faculty
and graduate students that already exist across the country
as well as to foster new fellowships by identifying and
connecting academics together." We encourage Canadian
ESN members to contact GSFM.
- InterVarsity Press
-
"As an extension of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA,
InterVarsity Press serves those in the university, the
church, and the world by publishing resources that equip

members, read about our ESN

products. For the benefits Mars Hill offers to ESN members,

- Veritas Forum
-
"The Veritas Forum is an interactive and inter-disciplinary
conference to explore the hardest questions of the university,
society, and the human heart in relation to the truth claims
of Jesus Christ in a quest for truth and real life." Of
particular note is the Veritas
Media section, with dowloadable audio from countless
Veritas Forums.
