As GFM team leader in the Great Lakes East region, he gives leadership to graduate and faculty ministry at schools in Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. He also serves as staff for graduate students, law, and veterinary students and faculty at Ohio State University. Bob writes, "I love exploring the Scriptures with students and faculty, seeking to hear together what our God is saying and how this bears on all of life in the academic and professional world." Consistent with this interest, Bob, along with a team of InterVarsity staff in the Great Lakes, leads the Expositor's Workshop, an annual training workshop in expository preaching. The workshop trains InterVarsity staff in the spiritual dynamics of preaching, the need for careful biblical study, and the challenges of culturally relevant communication in the twenty-first century. |
