William Stuntz
Bill Stuntz, Professor of Law at Harvard University, is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and the University of Virginia Law School, where he taught criminal law and criminal procedure for fourteen years. Two years ago he and his family became New Englanders (and passionate Red Sox fans), when he began teaching at Harvard. He has published two dozen law-review articles on various issues in criminal justice, along with two casebooks. He is currently at work on a book to be titled Defining Crime, as well as a collection of essays on racial profiling. Bill has also written several articles on law and Christian thought for First Things, including "Law and the Christian Story" and "Pride and Pessimism in the Courts." Together with David Skeel, a professor at the University of Pennsyvlania Law School, Bill plans to write a book about Christianity and legal theory, with a focus on where the Christian Right went wrong. He has been a frequent speaker to Christian student groups at the University of Virginia and at Harvard.

James Paternoster
James Paternoster is a campus staff member with InterVarsity's Graduate & Faculty Ministries, with almost twenty years' experience working among students and faculty. For five years he led the Metro Detroit area staff team and has directed student-training weekends, week-long camps, and the development of several training programs. He has also directed an InterVarsity Global Project to Rostov-on-Don, Russia, which contributed to the forming of an ongoing evangelizing fellowship of students there. His present focus in InterVarsity is with students pursuing graduate professional degrees in law, medicine, dentistry, and business at the University of Michigan. He works closely with the Christian Legal Society and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations. Born in Jos, Nigeria, and educated at Kent Academy and Hillcrest School, James continued his studies at Wayne State University (Detroit). He graduated with honors in history, together with interdisciplinary studies in peace and conflict, and has pursued graduate studies at Regent College (Vancouver) and Wayne State. James and his wife Barbara were married in 1988 and live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with their daughter Abigail and sons Abraham, Paul, and Nicholas. |
