Summer Work Crew departments
All work together to serve those who visit.
Work with teams and on your own in one or more of these settings:
Kitchen: Hot and cold food preparation, baking, serving food, stocking food orders, general cleaning. Experience helpful but not necessary.
Buildings & Grounds: Carpentry, painting, mowing, window washing, cutting firewood, building fires and other maintenance and repair tasks.
Housekeeping: Housekeeping and laundry work, supervising student work details.
Recreation: Serve as lifeguards and waterfront instructors; maintain recreational equipment. Experience with boats (powerboats, sailboats, canoes) is helpful but not necessary. Advanced Lifesaving or Lifeguarding, CPR and Standard First Aid certification necessary - in some cases these classes may be taken while on crew, if the applicant is a strong swimmer and/or has experience with boats.
Youth Program: Responsible to plan, lead and supervise age-graded program and activities for children and teens during Family Camps from mid-June to late August.
General Store: Serve store customers and assist with store operations like mail sorting, audio duplication, inventory control, displays and signs, bookkeeping and deposits, and cleaning. We train on the job. More info is available.
Office: Serve camp guests in person or over the phone; assist with registrations, data entry, reservations, publications and mailings.
Guest Services: Serve the guests by setting up meeting areas and providing clean, well-stocked facilities.
