Metaphors

Many important ideas in the New Testament are presented as metaphors. These video were produced for InterVarsity’s Staff Conference to provide short periods of reflection about influence. Each piece visually explores a Biblical idea. How are Christians called to influence the places in which they live?

Salt 1:12
Matthew 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.

Light 1:08
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Yeast 1:44
Matthew 13:33 He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened."

Seed 1:05
Matthew 13:8-9 Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Let anyone with ears listen!"
