As they begin their journey, Frodo and Sam come to the limits of the Shire. Sam is uncertain about leaving home. Frodo admonishes him saying, "leaving the Shire is dangerous business going out your door, you step out onto the road and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to."
This clip could work well for a freshmen retreat or an intial large group of the semester - for people who are just leaving home. The take away is that leaving home can be nerve wracking and even difficult, but the journey and potential in front of you are endless. An invitation to begin this journey by looking at Jesus could then be given because following him is a great adventure.
